Lunar 2: Eternal Blue
Working Designs brings Game Arts’ fantastic sequel to Lunar to the U.S. this winter. A thousand years after Luna and Alex first set out on their quest, evil is again plotting to throw the world into eternal darkness. As Hiro, you and your friends must find the goddess Althena and restore peace to the land. About an hour of animation and over 90 minutes of dialogue await you in this three-CD RPG.
Commentary
My memory is a little hazy around this time. I was completely enamored at this time at the Sega Dreamcast, which launched in September 1999. To me, the Playstation is a different time period but this preview is advertising the fact that Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete would release in the US in the winter of 1999. What’s more shocking is that that was wildly optimistic as the game didn’t come out in the United States until December 2000!
This won’t be the first time reference is made to a date that will slip.
