Have you ever wanted to experience the Sega Saturn CD player UI with your music library? You can with saturn.fm!
It’s hard to express how revolutionary the compact disc was1. Games could be bigger. Music was transformed. By the time the Sega Saturn came out, our music collection was growing. The Saturn included a user interface for playing music CDs and this website strikes at the heart of nostalgia. I loved hiding the UI and watching the space shuttle flying in space. Everything came back with saturn.fm. The site was developed by Adam McAmis and the source is available on GitHub. It connects with local files on your machine and plays them in a close copy of the Saturn’s UI.
I took a short video of playing with it:
I briefly talked about it in my post on Lunar the Silver Star. ↩
